How to Stay Aligned with Your Intentions for 2025

As we find ourselves in the early months of 2025, it’s the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and align your intentions for the year.  Did you set new years resolutions, maybe a word for the year, maybe some goals; or maybe you just leave it all aside and see what unfolds.

Either way I have created some beautiful gentle reminders, a small list of affirmations that you can use alongside your resolutions, or stand alone.  The reminders we set for ourselves at the beginning of a year can become a beautiful guiding light for the year ahead.  

Whether you’ve experienced a fulfilling start to 2025 or encountered some setbacks, it’s important to remember that change is always possible. It’s never too late to shift toward a path that feels more aligned with your dreams and well-being. The next year can offer endless opportunities to make meaningful changes and embrace small, yet powerful actions that can transform your everyday experience.

These reminders encourage you to love your loved ones a little tighter, laugh with friends more often, and smile even on the toughest days. They invite you to take time for yourself.  Maybe it's getting outside to walk in nature, drinking more water, or showing gratitude for the little things that bring you so much joy.   2. Make a change. It’s never too late to try something new or adjust your course.
  3. Know it’s not too late. Every day is an opportunity for change and reinvention.
  4. Hug your loved ones more. A hug can make everything feel okay, just for a moment.
  5. Laugh with friends more. Laughter is contagious.
  6. Smile more. A smile can change your mood.
  7. Do what you love. Make time for the things that make your heart happy.
  8. Do something nice for yourself every day. Self-care isn’t selfish, it’s essential.
  9. Get outside. Nature is so healing and relaxing.
  10. Drink more water. Hydration is key to feeling your best, inside and out.
  11. Show more gratitude. Practicing gratitude can really change your entire mindset.
  12. Sleep earlier. A good night’s rest is so so important.
  13. Prioritize self-care. Make it a non-negotiable part of your routine, not a luxury.
  14. Love yourself a little more. Self-love is the foundation of everything.
  15. Give it a go, even if it’s scary. Growth happens when we step outside our comfort zone.
  16. Feel all the emotions. Allow yourself to experience all your feelings fully; they’re part of your human experience.
  17. Try new adventures. The most magic moments are often in the unknown.
  18. Say yes if it feels good, say no if you need to. Boundaries are a form of self-respect.
  19. There will be challenges and hard times, but you’ve got this. Strength is forged in the hard moments.
  20. Focus on self-love, gratitude, and falling in love with the small things. Be mindful and support yourself; and make this the best year yet.
